What do you need to know as a Fleet manager?

The Radicom-i can provide that information every minute of the day without the need to contact the driver.

The system allows the transport manager to see the progress of their vehicles in real time every minute the real time monitoring will show where the vehicle is physically. The sensor information can show what activity is taking place. In the case of a skip lorry the icon on the screen changes form a circle to a triangle when the PTO is engaged to load or unload a skip.

In this way all manner of vehicle activity and data can be recorded:
Location, Speed, Refrigeration temperature, Liquid volumes, Hydraulic states (tipping), Road temperature etc.

If you have a vehicle mounted gauge or sensor chances are it can be integrated to capture data for whatever purpose you need. The Radicom-i adds to this with Geographic alarms which can alert office based staff to a vehicles arrival at a critical location. This facility can also indicate if the vehicle is running late ie timed to be in Oxford at 14:00 and at 15 mins to go it still has still more than 10 miles form the target delivery point.

The Radicom-i is a tool to maximise productivity of the critical the fleet management team they can carry on with other task and be alarmed to deal with the late delivery.

Complete Fleet Accountability

The data capture software is run via an 'Always-ON' GPRS connection, sending through Minute-by-Minute data on the vehicle position and activity.

The vehicle activity data can be viewed in Real-Time, or alternatively stored as data which can be viewed at a later stage as a 'Historical Report'.

If anyone were to make a fraudulent or malicious insurance claim against one of your vehicles, the historical activity reporting function will often be able to highlight discrepancies in the claimant's statement and void their claim.

The historical record is very useful in highlighting unwanted activity by drivers and operators in your fleet and will help you manage and control your fleet as you need.

You only pay for the volume of data transferred, so the cost per vehicle is usually less than £0.89p per day operating cost. This is a dramatic saving over the old GSM data system which was charged by the minute.

Radicom-i provides you with a greater degree of proof against liability where there is a dispute and innocence is otherwise difficult to prove. You can show directly that the vehicle alleged to have been involved in either an accident or insurance claim was either not there when claimed, possibly heading in a different direction, or never left the yard at all that day, then this will greatly reduce the chance of false claims being made against your fleet.

When it comes to vehicle security the GeoFence system allows you to restrict vehicle movement from a given designated zone. You can put up a virtual fence around your vehicle yard at night which the vehicle will not cross without the output control terminating the engine. Vehicle location is accountable at any given time should a driver report a stolen vehicle - making it easy for the police recover it.
